Hepure’s custom blending and site delivery service is wide spread use in urban site injection projects requiring injections on active streets and thoroughfares with significant space restrictions. The sites, in busy urban environments, could not accommodate conventional onsite chemical treatment number of totes required for onsite mixing or the secondary containment which would be required. Accessibility issues dictated that the projects be completed in one field event, so it was extremely important that the design dosage be applied during that event. Hepure was able to supply custom blending and site delivery to these sites which overcame all these constraints, provided just-in-time delivery of reagent without QA/QC concerns, eliminated health and safety concerns stemming from onsite mixing, and eliminated the disposal concerns and costs of used containers.

At project sites where issues such as:

• Vehicle traffic and /or lack of suitable space prohibit setting up mixing area
• Lack of potable water source to blend on site
• Overnight security issues with storing chemicals and equipment

Hepure’s services resulted in:

• Field Injection production increases by 70 %
• Reduction in field labor force
• Avoid DEA and Homeland security registrations

SITE 1: The sites, in busy urban environments, could not accommodate conventional onsite chemical treatment number of totes required for onsite mixing or the secondary containment which would be required. Accessibility issues dictated that the projects be completed in one field event, so it was extremely important that the design dosage be applied during that event. Hepure was able to supply custom blending and site delivery to these sites which overcame all these constraints, provided just-in-time delivery of reagent without QA/QC concerns, eliminates health and safety concerns stemming from onsite mixing, and eliminated the disposal concerns and costs of used containers.

SITE 2: 70 tanker loads of 3% potassium permanganate are expected to be delivered. Oxidant will be pumped directly out of the tanker into injection wells at the site. Custom blending and site delivery allows Hepure’s client to complete their project faster and easier without the significant health and safety issues associated with oxidant handling onsite. Since the oxidant is mixed at one of Hepure’s network of local blenders, QA/QC concerns associated with mixing onsite are resolved. In addition, local blending keeps transit costs down and allows for just-in-time delivery to sites nationwide. According to John Poulson of Hepure, “Our client did the cost-benefit analysis and discovered that, when you consider the cost of onsite blending, QA/QC, health and safety issues, as well as the handling and disposal of all those totes, Hepure’s custom blending and site delivery was actually the less expensive approach.”

SITE 3: Hepure provided the tanker, secondary containment, manifolds, pumps and hosing to support a large chemox project with injection occurring inside a building. Eric Moskal, ARS Technologies Project Manager said, “We couldn’t have done this project without Hepure. The logistics of the reagent delivery and handling were a significant concern to the owners of the building. Hepure came in and, as they say, provided everything but boots on the ground. They worked with us to provide deliveries when needed so we could keep working. Our field team had everything we needed to complete this project on-time and on budget.”

In addition to Hepure’s unique custom blending and site delivery service, the company is a supplier of a complete line of proprietary highly reactive and cost-effective iron powders. Oxidant chemistry is available in a variety of convenient packaging options. Hepure also offers a complete line of patented biological substrates and microbial cultures.

Hepure is based in Wilmington, DE. The company has operations centers in New Brunswick, NJ and Berkeley, CA. In addition to Wilmington, resource and support offices are located in Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, and Orlando, FL.
